A scaffold tower (also called an access tower) enables someone to work at height more safely than when using a ladder. Scaffold towers can be used inside buildings for a variety of tasks such as painting a ceiling, plastering, accessing a hard to reach area or working at height with heavy or awkward items. Outside tasks where a scaffold tower might be useful include roofing, external painting, rendering, working on gutters, repairing windows plus many more DIY tasks.
Our versatile, heavy duty steel scaffold towers can be used for all your projects. Quickfit Scaffold Towers offer trusted, high quality access solutions which are manufactured in our UK factory from British steel. We can offer a wide range of standard tower options with different widths and working heights, plus a full range of optional steel scaffold tower components. However, we can also create custom tower solutions for anyone who needs something different.
If you have any questions about which product would be best for your task please do give us a call. We are a friendly, family run firm and will be happy to talk through your needs with you.

There are many situations when an access tower / scaffold tower could be a more appropriate solution than a ladder, both for safety reasons and for ease of use during a lengthy task. The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) guidelines suggest that ladders should be used when it is a low-risk situation, the task will take no more than 30 minutes and the ladder will be level and stable while in use.
We have over 40 years experience in steel manufacture and we have sold our steel scaffold towers to everyone – both domestic users and trade.
A scaffold tower is also known as an access tower. It generally has four legs and is a structure made up of a framework of bars, platforms, trapdoors and ladders with extra support and crossbars to enable users to safely work at height. It has a number of advantages over a ladder and can be easily assembled on-site when needed, and then packed away for storage until the next job requires it.
A scaffolding tower is relatively quick to erect compared with a full scaffolding system as it is modular. It is made up of interlocking frames, bars and platforms which connect easily together – but please follow the instructions provided carefully when erecting any scaffold tower.
